With intention of driving native app engagement and book purchases, this series of emails targets users based on their reading interests or past book purchases from the Inkling web store. Two templates bring content from books of interest directly in the user’s inbox. Both templates were included in a A/B test. Users favored both equally.

One template uses a variety of ways to show content: an image paired with the first paragraph of an article, images with article titles only, and quote with book title only.
In this template all content is treated with the same styling with an image, book title and first paragraph from the selected chapter.
All emails in this series end with a section with direct links to the web store where users could buy the books featured in the email.




Emails were coded with responsive design using basic HTML/CSS.
